Happening This Weekend: Aquafest, Concert of Colors and More
Whether you want nautical fun, or a free music festival, there are options, oh, there are options.

Why Go: Aquafest is back, with several fun events planned over the next few days. Highlights include a Car Cruise and Bike Night, 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Mastro's; Casino Nights fundraisers for , held 7 p.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday at , $5 admission; the will be held at Blossom Heath Park, at 7 a.m. Saturday; and the will be held at , from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Plus other businesses on the strip will have specials and promotions.

Why Go: Celebrate diversity and music at the 19th annual Concert of Colors. It's one long weekend of free concerts at four locations in Midtown: Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and the Scarab Club has shows July 14; the Detroit Institute of Arts hosts acts on July 15; and the Max M. Fisher Music Center has shows July 16 and 17. Highlights include Don Was and Bettye LaVette, on Saturday and Sunday, respectively; plus you'll hear Latin, jazz, folk, rock, hip-hop and more throughout the fest.

Why Go: The St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade Committee organizing an evening of dining and dancing fun, the kickoff for the 2012 60th anniversary parade. A buffet dinner will be served, a deejay will play music, there will be dancing, and a cash bar will be available. Guests can buy raffle tickets, for a 50-50 drawing.
