Halloween Fun Fest Moves to Blossom Heath Park

Improvements at Veterans Memorial Park led the St. Clair Shores Activities Committee to move the annual event to Blossom Heath Park.

The annual Halloween Fun Fest will have a new location this year due to  improvements to Veterans Memorial Park.

Seed was recently laid in the park following the construction of the Maloof Family Pavilion, and some areas are inaccessible, according to city officials.

To accommodate the nearly 3,000 people who attend the event annually, the St. Clair Shores Activities Committee and Parks & Recreation decided to move the event this year to Blossom Heath Park.

"We were looking for a new location because of the construction at Veterans," said Maureen Antushevich, chairwoman of the Activities Committee.

The event will be held between 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Blossom Heath Park, and is open to children 12-year-old and younger accompanied by an adult.
