Get Out: Weekend Fun in the Shores
There is laughter, music and green thumb fun planned for the weekend—along with a touch beyond.
Where/When: The Emerald Theatre, 31 N. Walnut, Mount Clemens; Thursday, 7 p.m.
Why Go: Mount Clemens is putting together its first-ever Magical Weekend, Thursday-Sunday, in the downtown area. The fun begins with a show for all ages at the Emerald Theatre featuring British sensation Keith Fields and Michigan native Nathan Kranzo, who will perform their Mad Magic and Mental show.
Pricing: Tickets are $12 per person with $4 from each ticket to benefit Kiwanis Club of Mount Clemens, Clinton Township Optimists, and the Mount Clemens Goodfellows. For more details, please contact ABC Magic Shop at 586-790-3700.

Why Go: Hometown hero Dave Coulier takes to the stage at Lakeview in a benefit to help the city's Memorial Day Parade. The Swing Shift, a 15-piece swing orchestra, opens at 5:30 p.m., and Mr. Coulier takes the mic at 7 p.m.

THE EDMUND FITZGERALD MYSTERY
Where/When: Grosse Pointe War Memorial; Monday, 7-8:30 p.m.
Why Go: If you love the history and mysteries of the Great Lakes, you'll enjoy this lecture. Frank Frisk, a former Great Lakes sailor, presents a recent documentary on the decades-old shipwreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald that includes never-seen-before footage and some new details.
Pricing: $24 per person.
