Get Out: Weekend Fun in the Shores

We've got picks for you — "Beauty and the Beast," military collectors show, a whodunit dinner, and a bridal bonanza

It’s Saturday, and you say you're looking for ideas this weekend? Look no further, we've got some awesome picks for you.


Where/When: , Saturday, at 7 p.m.
Why Go: These kids have put a lot of time and love into this production, with 150 students working on it for 15 weeks. Plus, the story is a classic. So why not go?
Pricing: $10 in advance, $11 at the door.


Where/When: , Saturday, beginning at 4 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy drink specials and meet the Jager Girls. Plus there will be some cool giveaways.
Pricing: Varies.


Where/When: , Saturday, from 5:30-10 p.m.
Why Go: It would be a crime not to go, as the Jefferson Yacht Club hosts a Murder Mystery Dinner. You’ll enjoy supper with a side of mystery.
Pricing: $30 per person.


Where/When: , Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Why Go: Bring your military uniforms, web gear, helmets, medals, insignia and more to sell, trade or display. (No guns or ammo, though!)
Pricing: $3 for members of VFW, 82 ABN Division and American Society of Military Insignia Collectors (ASMIC); $4 general admission; and sales tables, $5. Tables to display military items, no charge.


Where/When: Best Western Sterling Inn, Sunday, from noon - 4 p.m.

Why Go: If you’re getting married, you’ve got plenty of planning to do. This show will be a one-stop shopping event, with dozens of businesses displaying their products and services, from veil to gown, flowers to jewelry, to catering the big day and planning the honeymoon.
