Family Events, Charitable Activities, Hot Rods and Rubber Duckies on Tap This Weekend

Classic cars, rubber ducks and carnival ridesare among the events on tap this week in St. Clair Shores:

  • The St. Joan of Arc Spring Festival returns for the 44th year this weekend.
  • Rubber Duckies to Take to the Water for Autism: The Shorewood Kiwanis are teaming up with the Henry Ford Health System’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities to hold a rubber duck race fundraiser at 12:30 p.m., May 18, at the Chapaton Retention Basin.
  • The St. Clair Shores Firefighters Union, IAFF Local 1744, will hold their annual charity bowling tournament Saturday, May 18, at Shore Lanes.
  • 18th Annual Nautical Coast Cleanup and Lake St. Clair Celebration, 8 a.m. Sunday, May 19, at theJefferson Beach Yacht Club.
  • St. Clair Shores Baseball/Softball opens the 2013 season Sunday, May 19, at Kyte Monroe Park.
  • Hot Rods and Hot Cakes classic car show at the Bruce Post VFW #1146 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Sunday, May 19.
