Shores Day Planner: Nov. 29

Here are a few items to get your Tuesday started.

1. It's going to rain, and rain, and rain today according to the National Weather Service which is forecasting a high near 45. It will also be breezy, with a north northeast wind between 20 and 23 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 26 miles per hour.

2. will be holding a fundraiser at from 6-9 p.m. today at TCBY, 20385 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods. TCBY will be donating 10 percent of all sales to the school. 

3. is holding a "Cell Phones for Soldiers" drive. Old cellphones can be turned in at the main office of the school, and then will be recycled and a 60 minute phone card will be purchased for the soldiers. The memory of the phone is be destroyed in the recycling process.

4. Winter, and snow storms, are on the way and a group of volunteers will be preparing to dispatch and remove snow from the homes of seniors. Meetings for the will be held in the coming days, but volunteers are still needed. Call 586-498-2339 for more information, or to volunteer.
