Coffee: Beans are roasted in Michigan by Schuil Coffee out of Grand Rapids. The Dockside Cafe blend is slightly sweet, smooth and has very little acidity. Espresso is from Bristot and is imported from Italy. Tea and a number of juice and soda options are also available.

Soups: Soups are made in house and change from day to day. Navy bean is a comforting, peppery bowl of beans with a tomatoey broth interweaving through the beans. A bowl with some crusty rye bread could be a meal by itself.

Sandwiches: Breakfast sandwiches are served anytime. Six meat choices are available for lunch along with three cheeses, six breads and a series of condiments. And $5 gets you a sandwich with one meat and one cheese plus a bag of chips.

Gyros (lamb or chicken) are available as a special. Hand-formed Angus burgers also make an appearance on the specials board.

Dinner: After 5 p.m., gourmet pizzas are offered.

Dessert: Cookies, brownies, scones and fruit bars from Just Delicious are on the counter.  Any of them would be an ideal accompaniment to a cup of hot coffee. During the summer, Stroh's ice cream is scooped to help with beating the heat.

Signature Dish: Gyros are sliced by hand and the corned beef is cooked and sliced in house.

Address: 24026 Jefferson
