A design by Lakeview High School senior Olivia Brown was selected to be the logo for the 2013 Memorial Day Parade.

Members of the Parade Committee opened the contest to students from Lakeview, Lake Shore and South Lake high schools, seeking entries for the annual parade logo contest with the theme "A Time to Honor."

A panel of veterans selected the winning design. Brown will receive a proclamation at the Feb. 19 City Council Meeting.

All entries will be on display in City Hall, and in Dockside Cafe in March.
