Yes, while it IS bitterly cold outside...... Spring has sprung in Real Estate!
For those who don't know, January is the start of the "Spring" season in the Real Estate Industry. While housing sales dropped for 2 months straight nationally, (Nov. & Dec.) sales are still almost 5% higher than this time last year! I am still finding there are a lot of buyers out there, the problem we are running in to is lack of inventory.
Buyers at this time of year are not your average "tire kickers" or "lookie loos", they are a serious buyer. If you're looking to get the highest dollar for your home and you've been kicking around the idea of selling, right now would be a great time to find out just what your home may be worth! It's a different market today, home values saw a 41% increase in 2013 in Metro Detroit.
To sum it up, if you're thinking of selling your home and making that move you've been wanting to for a while now, but the market just wasn't right at the time. You owe it to yourself to take another look, beat the Spring season rush and find out now if this may be the right time!
