South Lake Takes the Court for Wigs 4 Kids

Students and faculty will take the court Friday for a charity volleyball game for St. Clair Shores-based Wigs 4 Kids.
Students, faculty and fans will be able to donate funds at the volleyball game for the charity.
Last year the charity game, and other fundraisers in South Lake Schools, raised $1,000 for the non-profit organization that helps children and young adults experiencing hair loss by providing custom-fitted, age-appropriate wigs.
Organizers hope to beat last year's total and cover the cost of making two wigs for children.

More About South Lake High School
South Lake High School offers a variety of traditional and elective classes for students in ninth through 12th grades. Students entering ninth grade have a dean of students who helps with the transition into high school. As students continue their education, there are a number of programs to help them grow as students and citizens, including after-school activities. Carmen Kennedy is South Lake's principal, and Michael Fringer is the school's assistant principal.
