Oh, say can you see ... the 2011 St. Clair Shores-First State Bank Fireworks Extravaganza? It's happening at dusk on Friday, June 24, at Veterans Memorial Park. The event is presented by the St. Clair Shores Activities Committee, and means fun for the whole family. People who arrive early can enjoy a picnic on the park lawn, music by Elite Entertainment and be awestruck by the fireworks at dark.
Admission to the park is $2 per person (for residents and non-residents). Wristbands can be bought at Parks & Recreation, at 20000 Stephens, or at the two First State Bank locations (24335 Harper and 23600 Greater Mack). Parking will be available in the city-owned lot across from the park, for $5 per vehicle. Proceeds go toward expenses for the fireworks display.
