Explore, engage, and experience learning at Assumption Open House, Wednesday, January 23 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.   Visit the school, meet the staff and learn about the developmental programs for children ages 1-5 for the school year and 1 – 12 for summer camp.  Year round flexible scheduling is available including half day and full day programs with the opportunity for extended hours from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Morning and afternoon developmental classes are offered for Preschoolers (ages 3 to 4 years) and Young 5’s.  Parents have their choice of an afternoon nap room or instructional program for three-and-four-year olds.  Transition (ages 2 ½- 3 years) and Toddler (ages 1 – 2 ½ years) rooms offer a morning developmental program and an afternoon nap.  

In addition to the preschool program, Assumption also offers Enrichment programs including foreign language, cooking, cupcake decorating, Kalo for Kids Exercise, computers, creative dance, yoga and literacy. 

As the recipient of the Governor’s Award, an age-appropriate educational environment is provided where children are encouraged to engage in activities they love and can discover and explore new areas of interest.   A theme-based curriculum is aligned with the State of Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality.  It provides children the opportunity to develop friendships, problem solving techniques, decision making skills, independence and self-confidence.

The school prides itself with a professional and loyal staff of teachers and assistants who, like the school’s philosophy, are “dedicated to the development of each child as a total individual – socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively – in a secure and caring atmosphere.”

The newly renovated facility located on three acres of property includes eleven self-contained classrooms, a school size gym, nature trail with gardens, large outdoor play yards with a playscapes and an enclosed courtyard.  It is the ideal environment for children to learn and grow.
