The flag picture shows the line up of American flags as we start in the presentation of each flag starting with the pine tree flag and progressing through our history. It is a short presentation of honor for our flags.

The presentation of the flags is celebrated at the Elks Lodges around the country
and the idea of a Flag Day service was started in 1907 by their Grand Lodge Session in Philadelphia. August 3, 1949 the President of the United States signed Public Law 203 designating June 14 as Flag Day.

Thank you for posting my gazebo sunrise photo. I took this behind the VFW Bruce Post on Jefferson just north of 11 Mile. This is one of my favorite sunrise photos so far this year. Hope everyone agrees!
