In honor of Valentine’s Day, Patch wants to look at the sweet life. So we’re asking a tasty question: Where is the best place for dessert in Macomb County?
That’s the question in this week’s Food Fight, where we ask you for your opinion on the best places to eat around the area.
You can let us know by leaving a comment below. You may submit comments until 5 p.m. Tuesday.
From there, we will take the top three nominees and post in an article first thing Wednesday morning. Then it will be time to vote again to decide the Food Fight champion.
Voting will continue until Friday at 5 p.m. Then, on Saturday morning, we will announce the winner.
So show your hometown pride and pick a place near you. Boast about that great local restaurant, the nearby ice-cream parlor or the neighborhood bakery with the best treats.
And, if you are pulling for a certain restaurant, share this column on your personal Facebook page and Twitter feed and ask your followers to vote.

My friend was at a major store last week that would not give their Rewards coupon if you used a newspaper coupon for the item. They said it was their policy!!! i told her to check "Get Official Samples" to find samples

Ice cream is my favorite go-to dessert, so when I want a generous scoop or a "blizzard" type treat that's twice the value as DQ, I stop at Maceri's Soup & Scoop (nw corner of 21 & Hayes). She serves Ashby, soft serve and more. Plus she always has a special offer on her website or Facebook page. I believe the website is www.soup-scoop.com

Babycakes Cafe has the best selection of cupcakes and baked goods, all in one spot. The store really adapts to the needs and wants of customers! :)

Love those cupcakes at Babycakes Cafe. my favorite is the bumpycake but I have sampled just about all of them and now Im not sure which is the best. so fresh and delicious.

BABYCAKES CAFE is the BEST place for Desert in Macomb County... Where else can you go to get the "best of the best" all @ the convenience of one stop shop? Not to mention the freshness, quality & yumminess in each & every item that's purchased. All of the wonderful SWEET TREATS are baked FRESH DAILY by family owned & operated small businesses. Need I say more ???? This is the BEST PLACE by far for desert! They're located @ the NE corner of 23 Mile/Romeo Plank. Show your support, vote now & definitely check them out :)

After a day of shopping at Lakeside Mall there is one place you can go to unwind. Babycakes Cafe offers a charming place to sit and sip a cup of hot chocolate( or specialty coffee) and nibble on any of the riches desserts around. The pleasant atmospere and warm wait staff allow you to let your tired bones rest, and if you do WIFI that's thrown in too. Enjoy. I did.

You've never had a bumpy cake cupcake until you've tried the ones from Christine's Cakes & Pastries on Hayes between Hall & 21 mile. I don't crave many things, but these are on the list & that's saying a lot from someone who is a bit of a cupcake conesseuer, especially one who's not a big fan of chocolate cake!

Hands Down the newly updated Krogers and their roll out multi-layer discount tower
racks they bring out every day now with quota's a bit high so very fresh product many times 75% discounted. Comfort Food never tasted so good before!!!! lol
Happy Happy Valentines all your beautiful females. You all so remind me of the most beautiful flower I grew out back on top of the birm along the edge of the woods out back while early in the a.m. before the sun and after usually the rooster I'll be there on the deck jutting out to the birm almost and there she is.....the most beautiful and pretty flower of them all. She is so wet from the early morning dew and as I sit with her sipping my coffee, she slowly spreads herself open; enjoying the suns rays as it rises and penetrates her so deeply.
