What's Happening at VillageFest in Grosse Pointe This Weekend

Patch has a schedule of events for the VillageFest on Saturday and Sunday in the Village of Grosse Pointe.

 

If you enjoy music, cars, food and art, VillageFest sounds like a good place to visit this weekend.

The festival, formerly known as Grosse Pointe’s Greatest Block Party, will provide live entertainment on Saturday and Sunday, including a Saturday Night Dance Party on Sept. 8 from 7-10 p.m.

VillageFest will take place in the Village of Grosse Pointe on Kercheval between Cadieux and Neff from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Saturday’s Schedule

  • 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Taste of Grosse Pointe (featuring food from Blue Bay Fish & Seafood, Blue Pointe Restaurant, Bogartz Cafe, City Kitchen, Cleopatra, Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe, Golden Dragon, Jets Pizza, Pierogi Gals, Salvatore Scallopini; and desserts from Just Delicious Scones, Pop’s Kettle Corn, Ethel’s Edibles, Holy Cannoli’s, Morning Glory, Almonds ’r Nuts)
  • 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Kids on the Block (features bounce house, giant slide, arts and crafts)
  • 11 a.m.-dusk Art and Sole (juried art fair)
  • 12-6 p.m. Village Car Show
  • 12-12:45 p.m. Grosse Pointe Theatre, performing selections from Oklahoma and more
  • 1-2 p.m. Bing/Pangborn Jazz Trio
  • 2:15-3:15 p.m. Balduck Mountain Ramblers
  • 3:30-5 p.m. Polish Muslims
  • 7-10 p.m. Saturday Night Dance Party

Sunday’s Schedule

  • 12-5 p.m. Village Car Show
