The St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee has created a public service announcement to inform residents how they reduce non-point source water pollution that affects the beaches and the shoreline.
The St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee has posted a YouTube video to inform residents how they can reduce non-point source water pollution that affects the beaches and shoreline in St. Clair Shores.
The public service announcement is also an effort to raise awareness on how residents can help protect Lake St. Clair, according to Joe St. John, committee chairman.
He added that video is timely as residents plan beach outings.
In addition to the video, the committee conducts a number of public awareness campaigns and events which benefit local waterways. The members of the committee organize the annual Nautical Coast Clean-up, a scholarship competition and monthly expressway entrance trash removal during the summer.
