Viviano Flower Shop Expands into Grosse Pointe
St. Clair Shores-based Viviano Flower Shop opened a fourth location Monday on Mack in Grosse Pointe Woods.

Viviano Flower Shop has expanded into Grosse Pointe Woods with a new location on Mack Avenue.
The St. Clair Shores-based florist opened the new location Monday in the former Thai Cafe at at 20087 Mack Ave, and has fulfilled a long-time goal of the family-owned business to move the Grosse Pointes.
"We've always wanted to have a store in Grosse Pointe. It is a pretty tight-knit community and loyal to local businesses in the community," said Frank Viviano, whose father founded the business in 1937. "We have a lot of Grosse Pointe customers and hope to expand our customer base."
Viviano will hold a grand opening celebration Saturday with a number of give-aways and prizes, samples of cookies and beverages and along with a holiday designs will be on display.
The family-owned business is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and currently has locations in Chesterfield and Shelby townships, along with the flagship store on Harper in St. Clair Shores.

Glad to see this is permanent. I was really hoping the city hadn't allowed them to run a "pop up" shop just for the holidays like so many places do with Halloween stores these days.

Preparing floral arrangements could be quite noisy as well as it may spew fertile soil particles into the air. I am suprised they were allowed to open on Mack Ave. in GPW so quickly. The planning commission and city council must have been on vacation when the permits and applications were being processed.

Diane, you're a hoot! Never thought of that. Let's open a 'greenie' supply store and sell gas masks and earplugs to florist shoppers! Maybe we could get the mayor to come and snip the ribbon for us. He's really good at cutting those...

Congrats to Frank and welcome to GP Woods. I bought my first house on Port in St. Clair Shores, just a block down the street from Viviano's on Harper at Masonic. Got to know the family real well. Good, solid business people. Keep taxes down and more will come.
