The music was pumping on June 2 as close to 300 amateur and professional dancers strutted their stuff right in the middle of Greater Mack.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., as "Starships" by Nicki Minaj boomed over the loud speakers, members of the Casali School of Dance, mixed in with the JuneFest crowd, began to move to the beat.

The event, organized by dance school founder, Anna Casali, consisted of participants of all ages.

"I wanted to bring a little more excitement to JuneFest and maybe have some of my kids bring out their friends so that we get more younger people involved in the Fest, kind of bringing an upbeat feel," said Casali. "We had all ages here... moms and dads were doing it too, I put it out to everybody."

Casali had set up a Facebook group, JuneFest 2012 Flashmob, and a YouTube video as a tutorial for those who wanted to take part.

Awesome job! I love it that the flashmob concept has such a huge following, we need more spontaneous fun in the world. Please keep me on your mailing list for future events. Thank you Madison and Terri. conkent@frontier.com
