Video: Council Remembers Beverly McFadyen

St. Clair Shores City Council remembered the late Councilwoman Beverly McFadyen during Monday's meeting, and honored her with a moment of silence and a posthumous proclamation.

St. Clair Shores City Council Monday honored former City Councilwoman Beverly McFadyen who .

McFadyen, 80, was first elected to City Council in 1999, and served until health issues forced her to retire.

During her 12 years on council, she served two-terms as Mayor Pro Tem and liaison to a number of committees in the city and was a delegate to the Michigan Municipal League.

It was in that position she earned the first Michigan Municipal League Award of
Governance for St. Clair Shores.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Cornfield. Funeral services were not held.
