Nearly 800 people attended the event Sunday at Barrister Gardens to sample the fare from more than 30 restaurants from St. Clair Shores and surrounding communities.
In addition to the wide selection of food, attendees were able to enter raffles for a number of items including televisions and an iPad 2 from Best Buy.
"It was a fantastic turnout," said Craig Manning, who organized the event. "It was awesome, better than last year."
A team of judges including Mayor Robert Hison; Candice Rusie, councilwoman; Greg Esler, parks and recreation director; St. Clair Shores Police Chief Michael Walleman; and Edward Cardenas, St. Clair Shores Patch editor, honored selected restaurants.
The awards given include:
- Best appetizer: G. Willies
- Best presentation and best entree: Ardmore Park Place
- Best dessert: Famous Dave's
- People's choice: Hooters
