Tin Fish Faces Court Action for Partridge Creek Restaurant
Tin Fish, which recently announced plans to open a new location in St. Clair Shores, has been taken to court by The Mall at Partridge Creek for allegedly owing $400,000 in rent.
Tin Fish, which recently announced plans to open a location in St. Clair Shores, will be in court later this month for allegedly not paying "rent and other charges" for the Partridge Creek location.
Partridge Creek claims that Tin Fish has not paid some $406,759 "in rent and other charges" it currently owes, according to court documents obtained by The Macomb Daily.
Per the restaurant's 2007 lease agreement with the mall, Tin Fish was to pay approximately $15,000 a month in rent to Partridge Creek, The Macomb Daily reports.
Having not received a good deal of this rent as of Jan. 2, the mall filed a complaint for "possession of real property" against Tin Fish last month in 41B District Court and a hearing on the case is scheduled for Feb. 21.
