Update: Foul Play Not Suspected in Drowning

Update: St. Clair Shores police report foul play is not suspected in the drowning Saturday at Emerald City Harbor.

Update: The name of the 64-year-old man who drowned Saturday has not been released, but there are no signs of foul play, according to St. Clair Shores police Det. Margaret Eidt. The results of the autopsy are pending.

A St. Clair Shores man is dead after drowning at on Saturday, according to police.

St. Clair Shores police, medics and personnel from the Macomb County Sheriff Marine Division responded to a call about 9:30 a.m.

They found the 64-year-old man floating in the water, according to WXYZ-TV. St. Clair Shores police did not release the man's name.

Police said the drowning appeared accidental.

The man’s body has been taken to the Macomb County Medical Examiner's office.
