St. Clair Shores Accepting Applications for Open Council Seat
By electing Kip Walby mayor, a vacancy has been created on City Council. Applications are now being accepted for residents interested in being appointed to the remaining two years of Walby's City Council term.
Residents interested in applying for the open seat on St. Clair Shores City Council can submit a cover letter, or letter of interest, along with a resume to the city clerk by 4 p.m. Nov. 28.
The field will be narrowed on Dec. 5, and finalists will give presentations on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Mayor and council will select one person to fill the open seat at the meeting on Monday, Dec. 19.
The entire selection process will be open to the public, Mayor Kip Walby said during the meeting Monday.
