Snow Event Declared for St. Clair Shores

Property owners in St. Clair Shores have until 3 p.m. Sunday to clear snow and ice from sidewalks following the declaration of the snow event.

 

St. Clair Shores has declared a snow event effective 3 p.m. Friday.

According to city ordinance, property owners have 48 hours to clear snow and ice from their sidewalks, which would be 3 p.m. Sunday.

Properties which do not comply, will receive a warning from the city that the city will return in 24 hours to clear the sidewalk. The property owners will be billed for the service if the city contractor removes the snow.

Before I subscribe to patch, I have never heard of this. How does the city get these timely notification out to the community to those who do not subcribe to the daily patch emails (which are great by the way)..?

Facebook page as well as it's on the city news channel (look at your cable provider for your specific channel).

It's the same way they notify you of city happenings, closings, etc.
