Here are a few items to help your day started.
1. The National Weather Service is forecasting a sunny, warm day with a high near 71. And after a few windy days, there will be light breezes between 3 and 7 miles per hour.
2. South Lake will be hosting a senior citizen breakfast at 8:30 a.m. today in the high school cafeteria for the community.
3. Tree of Hope Foundation is holding a candlelight vigil in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer for Mental Illness Recovery and Understanding. The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
4. Today is National Taco Day. Where can you find the best tacos in the Shores? El Charro? Rojo?
5. The 40th District Court Committee recommended to St. Clair Shores City Council Monday night to replace the aging facility. The council will consider the recommnedation at the Oct. 17 meeting.
