Shores Day Planner: Oct. 17

Five things to get your day, and week, started.

Here are a few items to get your week started.

1. The National Weather Service is forecastign mostly sunny skies, with a high near 59. Hold on to your hats, because it will be breezy with a west southwest wind between 14 and 22 miles per hour. Gusts maybe as high as 32 miles per hour.

2. It was a big weekend for football in the Shores as South Lake won the league championship, Lakeview defeated Fitzgerald and Lake Shore fought hard, but fell to Marine City.

3. The St. Clair Shores City Council meets at 7 p.m. tonight in Council Chambers in City Hall.

4. The St. Clair Shores Hockey Association hosted a day of hockey, family activities and food Saturday at Civic Arena for the annual Opening Day festivities.

5.The Lake House's Creative Art Club meets at 11 a.m. Monday. It's an open studio where you can work on your own project or choose to make the craft of the week. It's open to anyone whose life has been touched by cancer in some way. For more information, call 586-777-7761.
