Share Your Tigers Memories to Win Memorabilia

The Topps Company, Inc. launched its new baseball app, Topps Pennant, on Monday and is hosting an online giveaway.

What is your favorite Tigers memory? Kaline’s two-run single in Game 5 of the ’68 World Series, Gibby’s homer in the eighth to clinch the Series in ’84 or maybe Verlander’s no hitter in 2007 or in 2011?

On Monday, The Topps Company, Inc. launched its new baseball app, Topps Pennant, with a special promotion asking the Detroit faithful to share their favorite Tigers memories using the Topps Pennant app and the #tigermemories hashtag on Twitter.

Participating fans will have the chance to win Tigers collectibles including old Topps cards of Tigers players of the 1980’s along with a signed contract from Tigers legend Alan Trammell.

The contest is up and running and goes through Tuesday.

Justin Verlander tweeted about the contest on Monday afternoon, which happens to be the one-year anniversary to the day of his 2011 no hitter.

It was the last game of the season and Alan Trammell's last game (although it wasn't announced ahead of time).
I had my daughter and youngest son before game in the left field stands by the outfield fence.
My daughter wanted me to ask a player for a ball by the outfield wall. I told her to ask and she got Terry Francona to hand her a ball over the outfield fence. At that same time, my son got a ball hit into the stands by Alan Trammell in batting practice. I took their photo together with each of them with a ball!!
My daugher later got a jersey (by luck of the draw) and had a player sign ii on the field after the game and before Trammell made his retirement anouncement official.
I've never gotten a ball in 52 years of seeing baseball games! Still, I'm still more happy my kids did.
