Roof Added to New Wally's Frozen Custard
Construction continues on the new home of Wally's Frozen Custard on Harper, south of Nine Mile Road, in St. Clair Shores.
Construction crews have completed the walls and added a roof to the building that will become new home of Wally's Frozen Custard.
The brick walls of the 2,600-square-foot building are complete, and work has shifted to the roof.
Owner Matt Ahearn hopes to have the frozen custard shop to be complete by the Harper Cruise on Aug. 29, but even if it is not done, they will have a presence in the popular event.
When complete, the building drive-thru window for frozen treats and items from an expanded menu including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bagels and other items they featured at The Galley Cafe, which they formerly operated at the St. Clair Shores Library.
The current location in Harper Woods will close upon completion of the new building.
