Police Blotter: Police Investigate Break-Ins

The following information is gathered from the St. Clair Shores Police Department. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

 

St. Clair Shores Police are investigating a series of break-ins in the city where a suspect entered homes by kicking in a door.

The suspected break-ins include:

  • Nov. 2, 31818 Tanglewood, a resident reported a camcorder, speakers, televisions, video game systems, laptop, DVD player, coins, power tools, cell phones were stolen.
  • Nov. 7, 30254 Taylor, a resident reported an iPod, televisions, DVD player, video game system and a laptop were stolen.
  • Nov. 14, 23148 Beverly, a resident reported an attempted break-in.
  • Nov. 15, 22788 Recreation, a resident reported a video game system, television, jewelry box and guns were stolen.

Investigators ask anyone with information about these incidents, or if residents see something suspcious, to call the police at (586) 445-5300.

What time of the day the break ins happen could be useful if known. People might be more watchfull at certain times.

Totally agree with your comment Henry. Just like the last wave of break ins that occurred last fall/winter, us citizens were given little or no information that would have helped us be aware of, and potentially prepare for, the invasions. I understand if the police can't reveal information that could potentially jeopardize an investigation, but there is also a responsibility to warn the public and provide us information.
