how about merging the three districts? How much will that save us?

When I went to high school we didn't have bowling, lacrosse, rugby, swimming, soccer, competitive cheer, etc. Why all of the sports and the new gym, swimming pool, football fields? Lakeview High has more athletic facilities then the local YMCA. Cut back on sports back to the core sports, I'd start there.

I also agree with Dennis, merge the districts, reduce the admin overhead. Let the taxpayers who don't have children come up with ideas on how to cut the budget. Where do I start?

Our district has already made a lot of difficult cuts and there's not much more fat to trim without jeopardizing education quality. The obvious answer here is to cut Snyder, who we can recall beginning July.

Snyder's educational "incentives," coupled with his over-reaching Emergency Financial Manager (EMF) law, creates a perfect storm. I don't know about you, but I am not at all comfortable with an 'appointed' corporatist' making six figures taking over for our elected school board and city council because we may be short in some random account. Whatever our political persuasion, we should all be concerned about the policies that don't belong in a democracy.

Corporatists and corporations don't care about you and they don't care about our children. It's all about money and power and the bottom line.
