Operation Nun-1-1 A Success at St. Joan of Arc

The St. Joan of Arc community gathered Friday for a surprise celebration for Sister Carol Juhasz that included a ride in St. Clair Shore fire truck, serenade by the schoolchildren and fellowship.

Parents, staff, students and members of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School community gathered Friday to surprise Sister Carol Juhasz with a ride in a St. Clair Shores fire truck and community celebration.

Sister Carol, who is the Community/Family Life Minister at St. Joan of Arc and has been with the parish since 1998, received the police-escorted ride from her apartment to the school as a gift from the community and parish to allow her to mark another wish off her bucket list.

Although she is battling cancer, Sister Carol hopped out of the passenger seat of the fire truck and greeted the St. Joan of Arc student body - who were all wearing specially designed pink T-shirts which honored her.
