Macomb County's First Food Truck Roundup Comes to St. Clair Shores
Five different food trucks will be featured Saturday during Macomb County's first food truck roundup at the Senior Center of the Shores Fall Harvest Celebration in St. Clair Shores.
One of the hottest trends for foodies—food trucks—will be coming to St. Clair Shores on Saturday for the Fall Harvest Celebration at the Senior Center of the Shores.
Food trucks with menus featuring items from around the world—including pierogis, pork tacos, Bell's Oberon cheese soup, falafel wraps and beef ravioli—will be part of the celebration which also includes music and a showing of the movie, We Bought a Zoo.
"I wanted something for all ages," said Sue Fickau, senior center coordinator. "This is a great Saturday event."
While the event is hosted by the Senior Center, Fickau planned a variety of events for all generations, families and singles with the showing of the movie and a performance at 5 p.m. by classic rock and top 40 cover band Mainstream Drive.
The food truck roundup begins at 4 p.m. and will include:
- Dago Joe's Italian
- Green Zebra New American Street Food
- Jacques Tacos
- People's Pierogi Collective
- Treat Dreams
While the concert, which starts at 5 p.m., and the movie, which starts at approximately 9 p.m., are free, food truck patrons have to order and pay for their orders with each truck. No outside food and drink, or alcohol, will be allowed at the celebration. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
"We are really excited to be able to come into Macomb and do something on this side of town," said Sheryl Gregoire, who owns People's Pierogi Collective with fellow east-side resident Kim Stricker.
She added that there will items for "adults to eat and something for kids to eat."
"It is like a restaurant on wheels," Gregoire said.

I really had to search to see when this event takes place. You have nothing in the article but a time the food trucks get there. I do now see in the headline it says Saturday. How about a time for the movie? How about an address for the Senior Center of the Shores for those who do not know. A date in the article with a little better itinerary would have been really helpful.
