League of Women Voters, Patch to Sponsor 9th Congressional District Candidate Forum
Democrat Sander Levin and Republican Don Volaric are vying to represent the 9th Congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The League of Women Voters Oakland Area and Patch will co-sponsor a candidate forum for the 9th Congressional district on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Madison Heights City Hall.
The forum will feature the two candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, Democrat Sander Levin and Republican Don Volaric.
The League of Women Voters also has invited Libertarian candidate Jim Fulner, U.S. Taxpayers candidate Les Townsend and Green Party candidate Julia Williams.
The 9th Congressional district covers St. Clair Shores as well as parts of southern Macomb and Oakland counties.
Madison Heights City Hall is located at 300 W. 13 Mile Rd.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. The League never supports or opposes a candidate or political party. It influences public policy through education and advocacy, according to its website.

While the edit is appreciate, it is still worded wrong "um will feature the two candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, Democrat Sander Levin and Republican Don Volaric." The correct wording should be "...forum will feature all 5 candidates who are running for US House of Representatives in District 9."

The LWV did not appreciate any comments/applause/agreements or any vocal Yea's or Nay's from the audience,much like a 'Control-Freak',unhappy if anyone else is enjoying the moment.As far as the 'UN-Debate'...Don Volaric held his own & addressed the audience as thou he truly cared about them unlike the Self-Centered ,Self-Serving Sander Levin who reiterated of all the programs he 'HAD' authorship of but had no credible 'NEW' ideasthat would help Washington D.C. come to a solution to the scenario that is propagated by the present administration.I did hear an allegience to GOD & true concern for this country by every speker 'BUT' Sander Levin..........Praise GOD & GOD Bless America!
