The Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association has named Lakeview graduate Danny Schwarzwalder to the Division 1 All-State Team Honorable Mention golf team.

Schwarzwalder will attend Wayne State University in the fall, and play on the golf team.

"He has worked extremely hard for this and it just is icing on the cake for his high school career," his parents Karl and Jean Schwarzwalder wrote in an email.

Schwarzwalder, of St. Clair Shores, played on Lakeview's golf team his entire high school career and was on the varsity team for the past three years.

At Wayne State, Schwarzwalder plans to study pre-med.
