Alumni of the Lakeview High School hockey team and former NHL players met on the ice at St. Clair Shores Civic Arena Saturday to raise money for the charity Cops for Kids. The police charity provides Christmas presents for underprivileged children.

The Red Wings Alumni won the amiable match-up 10-9, developing an early lead that Lakeview had nearly overturned by the end of the game. Red Wings announcer Ken Kal provided the play-by-play for the match-up. In addition, the Hockey Hall of Fame brought the Stanley Cup for an appearance; fans could get their picture taken with the cup for $10.

Corrections...That is Lorne Knauft for the Red Wing Alumni, Dino Ciccarelli (Hockey HOF) not Dennis Hextall and in goal is George Bowman, not Pat Ribble.
