Lake Shore High School senior James Bush signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play football at Northwood University on National Signing Day.
Bush, 18, was a three-year varsity started on the Shorians football team where he played as an offensive and defensive lineman.
"He is really a devastating hitter," said Lake Shore football Coach Tom Iwanicki.
He added that Bush is the first player from one of his teams to play NCAA Division II football.
"I am excited. I can't wait to get started," said Bush, who is planning on majoring in entertainment and sports promotion management.
