At least 90 families had a brighter Christmas through the generosity of the Lac Ste. Claire Kiwanis.

Families throughout the eastside of Macomb County received gifts, goodwill and meal at Rose's Familiy Dining in St. Clair Shores during a special dinner with Santa sponsored by the Lac Ste. Claire Kiwanis.

Local schools, churches and social service agencies also received items donated to the Kiwanis.

During the dinner, Santa was able to fulfill the wish of Nathan Covey, who received a special bicycle from Lac Ste. Claire Kiwanis and Tim's Bike Shop.

"He has wanted to ride with all the kids, and now it is possible," said a Nicole Morrow, a friend of the Covey family.
