Jefferson Middle School Raises Funds for Relay for Life in St. Clair Shores
Jefferson Middle School is hosting a book fair to raise funds for the school's Relay for Life team.
One dollar can make a big difference in today in St. Clair Shores.
For $1, book lovers can select a book from a wide selection of donated books at the Book Fair at Jefferson Middle School.
That $1 for a book not only allows individuals to learn something new, or travel to a far-off land, but the sale of each book goes to the Jefferson Relay for Life Team Patriots.
The team is comprised of nearly 100 students. These students donate their time to hold a variety of fundraisers and participate in the Relay for Life in June.
"They are sacrificing for others," said teacher Sarah Bowman. "They work really hard and are an awesome group of kids."
The book fair, which is staffed by volunteers including parents, grandparents and members of the community, will be open until 8 p.m. Friday at the school.
