Handyman Joe Gentz was to be arraigned Monday afternoon on first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder charges in the homicide of Jane Bashara of Grosse Pointe Park.

The charges were issued Monday, according to Maria Miller, spokesperson for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office. Gentz was to appear in 36th District Court in Detroit at 1 p.m. Monday.

Gentz was arrested Friday in Macomb Circuit Court during custody hearing, and has been held in a Wayne County jail since he was taken into custody.
