Grosse Pointe Woods Rapper to Help Raise Funds for Shores-Based Dog Rescue

Rapper Hush will be among the performers helping open a new Chesterfield Township concert venue while raising funds for the Detroit Dog Rescue.

Grosse Pointe Woods rapper Hush will join the Howling Diablos to open Club Diesel on Saturday, Jan. 19, in Chesterfield Township.

The show at the new concert and entertainment venue at 33151 23 Mile Road in Chesterfield Township is also a fundraiser for St. Clair Shores-based Detroit Dog Rescue.

Daniel “Hush” Carlisle, a Detroit Music Award Winner who has performed with Eminem, and co-founder Monica Martino established the Detroit Dog Rescue with a mission of founding the city’s first no-kill shelter.

This will be the first event at the new, live-music facility owned by longtime nightclub owners Mike Mitchell, who is the former owner of the Emerald Theatre and Hayloft, and Joe Sgroi, owner of the Ritz, New York New York and the Premier Lanes.

Doors open at 8 p.m. Jan. 19, and 18 and over are welcome. Tickets are $10, with proceeds benefiting Detroit Dog Rescue. Tickets are available at  www.showclix.com or at the Diesel Concert Lounge on the night of the event.

He not only is a friend of Eminem but he performed with him on his "The Slim Shady EP. He works with Kid Rock among others. As far as I'm concerned his greatest claim to fame is Detroit Dog Rescue. @Mark - there is a pretty good chance that he is good.

When The Supreme Court of the United States issues a decision there are sometimes a dissenting opionion published. This opinion, while well reasoned and intelligent, is the wrong interpretation. Where one opinion becomes the current legal precedent the other opinion becomes nothing more than the protests of some loud-mouthed malcontent.
