Get Out: Memorial Day Parade, Run and Service

Here's what to do in and around St. Clair Shores this week.
Where/When: Rojo Mexican Bistro; 8-11 p.m. May 26.
Why Go: Latin Percussionist Gregorio Diloné will take Rojo patrons on a musical journey as he performs Latin classics and today's hits on his congas and timabales.
Pricing: No cover.
Where/When: Blue Goose Inn; 9:30 p.m. May 27-28.
Why Go: Enjoy sizzling live music at the Blue Goose each weekend, including this weekend's headliner, Mystery Train with Jim McCarty.
Pricing: $2 cover.
Where/When: Fishbone's; 10 p.m. May 27.
Why Go: Hear a mix of classic rock, new wave and originals from the Brian Sheehan Band as they rock Fishbone's.
Pricing: No cover.
Where/When: Service is 9 a.m. Sunday at Veterans Memorial Park; parade is 1-3 p.m. Sunday along Jefferson from Nine Mile to 11 Mile roads.
Why Go: Honor those who served in our conflicts by attending a Memorial Day service at Veterans Memorial Park, followed by the city's annual Memorial Day Parade, with the theme of "Some Gave All," accompanied by marching bands, floats, and entertainment for one and all.
Pricing: Free.
Where/When: Jefferson Lodge No. 553; register at 11 a.m., and race begins at noon for runners and 12:05 p.m. for walkers on May 29.
Why Go: It's time for the annual Sailing Thru the Shores 5K Run/Walk. The event raises scholarship money to be awarded to three student-athlete volunteers from St. Clair Shores.
