Court Brief: Pre-Exam Conference Set for Salon Robbery Suspect

Larry Roosevelt, one of two men charged in the armed robbery of the Exodus Salon, will return Sept. 21 to 40th District Court.

The two men charged in the armed robbery of the Exodus Salon will return Sept. 21 to 40th District Court for a pre-exam conference.

Larry Roosevelt, 34, waived his right Friday to have his preliminary exam within 14 days and will have a pre-exam conference with co-defendant Curtis Felton, 29, of Belleville, in September.

The men are alleged to have held up the Exodus Salon Aug. 16 during a multi-city crime spree and took money from the customers and employees before moving them into a backroom and fleeing from the business. They are alleged to have committed similar crimes in Warren and Oak Park.

Both men are charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and felony firearm. If convicted, both could face life in prison.

Felton is being held in the Macomb County Jail on $250,000 bond, Roosevelt is being held on $1 million bond.
