Countdown to the Memorial Day Parade: U.S. Navy Great Lakes Band

The St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade is approaching, and leading up to the big event, Patch will be profiling unique aspects of the parade.

The U.S. Navy Great Lakes Band will preform twice on Memorial Day in St. Clair Shores.

The band will march in the Memorial Day Parade and will hold a free concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Lakeview High School.

"This is a great honor and we're really looking forward to having them," said Cheryl Furdos, advertising and marketing chair for the St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade Committee

The 60th Annual Memorial Day Parade "Freedom's Not Free" will step off at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 27, on Harper,  with over 100 entries including military personnel, military vehicles, marching bands, civic and school groups and dignitaries.

Editor's note: The location of the concert Sunday evening was changed.
