You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, St. Clair Shores Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Overview: Open Tuesday through Sunday 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Upbeat menu with amazing egg dishes, dessert breakfast, and homemade soups, salads and sandwiches.  Nearly everything is made from scratch and made-to-order. Vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian options are available.

Decor: Primarily black and red with white walls. Splashes of color provided by the artwork on the walls. Booths are available as well as seats at the counter. A modern twist on a classic diner.

Drinks: Organic Columbian coffee is available for $2.50 with unlimited refills. Wheatgrass and pomegranate shooters and smoothies are healthier options.

Breakfast: Eccentric cafe style. Huevos rancheros, layered omelets (a totally unique way of serving omelets—each omelets includes close to six eggs!), crepes, and "dessert breakfasts," like apple cinnamon French toast.

Lunch: Sandwiches and salads, but made with a unique twist. Curry chicken salad, steak sandwich smothered in mushroom steak sauce and crispy onions and a house salad with feta and homemade balsamic vinaigrette (all dressings are made in-house).

Sides: All of the traditional breakfast meats are available for $.85 for two pieces. Seasoned potatoes are also available for $1.50.

Don't Miss: Eggs at full mast, banana-bread French toast, Italian Western sandwich
