The St. Clair Shores Senior Activities Center is preparing for the annual apple pie fundraiser for the meal program at the center.
Proceeds from the pies, which are made at the center, help fund the senior meal program.
Volunteers are needed to help peel the apples for the pies, in addition to these ingredients:
- 300 pounds of sugar
- 250 pounds of flour
- Cinnamon
- Peelers
- Gallon-sized reclosable bags
Local businesses including Rosie's Diner, Tubby's Submarines, Home Instead, Roy O'Brien Ford, Home Instead and councilwoman Candice Rusie have also donated to the fundraiser.
