The Shores Network for Action and Prevention Coalition will be hosting a Teen Prescription Drug Abuse Video Contest and town hall meeting.
On Tuesday, April 24,at 7:00 p.m., Lakeview High School’s Schaublin Auditorium will host a Town Hall Meeting featuring guest speaker, Dr. Mark Menestrina, who
will discuss keeping our kids safe in relation to teen prescription drug abuse.
Dr. Menestrina is an incredibly dynamic speaker who is an expert in his field, according to Judge Joseph Oster, chairman of the Shores Network for Action and Prevention (SNAP) Coalition.
A video contest with prize money will be held in conjunction with this event for St. Clair Shores’ students in grades 6 through 12, with an entry deadline of March 13, 2012 at noon.
Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to enter contest by creating a 30-second public service announcement on "Teen Prescription Drug Abuse in our Community." The video will teach others about the negative impacts of teen prescription drug abuse in our community. Winning entries will be announced during the town hall meeting on April 24.

1. A signed release must be submitted with the video. A video submitted without a signed release will be disqualified. The release is located with the application form.
2. All students that attend the Town Hall Meeting will be eligible to enter a contest to win a flip camera.
