Lakeview Seeks Task Force Volunteers

Lakeview Public Schools Superintendent Karl Paulson is looking for participants in a District Task Force connected to parent and community communication.

This group will meet only twice, Jan 18 and Feb. 1, from 6:30-9 pm. The district has a specific feedback procedure designed to help the district analyze how it communicates with parents and the community.

The Parent Portal, School Messenger, website, newsletters, e-mail, phone calls, conferences, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other communication outlets will be discussed and reviewed in terms of usefulness and parental expectations.

A second task force is also taking shape, this one more budgetary in nature and focused on the concept of "shared services."

Business, community and government leaders will be asked to discuss and share ideas pertaining to how the district can be more efficient in its support services (snow removal, maintenance, playground maintenance and more).

This group is scheduled to meet Jan. 25 and Feb. 8, from 6:30-9 pm. All parents are welcome.

If you would like to participate in the Communication or Shared Services Task Force, please contact Debbie DePape at ddepape@scslakeview-k12.com or call at 586-445-4000, ext. 2501.
