A St. Clair Shores resident was among the 513 graduates who participated in Denison University's 171st commencement.

Jillian Mary Twardowski was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison by President Dale Thomas Knobel.

Twardowski graduated with a major in psychology and a minor in Spanish. She received the Denison Alumni Award and the Charles W. Steele Memorial Scholarship. Twardowski studied off-campus with the Council on International Educational Exchange Program in Spain.

Denison University is located in Granville, Ohio.
